Building a Robot
Friday, April 11, 2014
Robots are unique in all different ways shapes and sizes. Robots have different purposes and should be used to the fullest affect. Robots can do all kinds of different ticks and can have different objectives like moving picking up throwing and or sliding something from one place to another. Robots will do whatever you ask or whatever you program it to do. A robot is more used to help learn or explain something that we cant understand.
My perspective on robots is that are good help around the
house. Robots are also used for manufacturing and completing un finished
things. There are different robots around the house. One computer in your house
is a microwave which is used to make things that are cold warm. Another robot
in your house is you television which is used to give you entertainment. There
are multiple robots in your home those just examples but their things that you
use in your everyday life like you cellular device. A cellular device or cell
phone is a portable device that you can send texts, emails, and make phone
calls to other people when you’re not home or around a telephone. Robots fun to
use when you have absolutely nothing to do or when you have to get in contact
with someone that is far away from you.

The thing about creating and making a robot is that it take time and money. Robots are awesome to have around the house because they can do things for you when you feel lazy or don't feel like doing something. My Robot will be simple and easy to build because it is the first robot I have ever built. The fun in doing this is because I have no experience in building robots but I am smart when it comes to technology such as computers, televisions, cars and anything that needs to be fixed using electronics. It isn't easy to learn about electronics like this. but I want to learn more on these electronics and robots because they can take you far in life and get you a very good job. Robots are very much needed in world and they shouldn't be wasted on things that make no since but on more important things like research.

This is the Mechanical Tiger Tamiya71109
Power
from the rotating motor is transferred to the legs via crank plates to make the
tiger walk. Two possible gear ratios coupled with four different strides let
you choose eight different speeds. A reverse switch also allows backward
movement. Coil spring tail wags when the model walks. The tiger's body parts
have been molded with yellow semi-transparent plastic, giving the tiger a
futuristic look. Assembly is very simple with use of screws and snap-lock
parts. Soft foam "boots" are used on the legs to keep from damaging
floors as this robot tiger walks. Run on flat, smooth surfaces. Avoid running
over slopes, on bumpy roads or on thick carpet. The length is 155mm and the weight is 3.7oz. This
is another robot that I would like to build because our school is the Auburn
Tigers and I think that it would be a nice project to do for me and it
represents our school.
This is the Robotic sliding fox Tamiya 71116 beginners robot this is how the robot works and what it does.
Internal motor spins a cylindrical plate with a weight (a screw) placed on one side creating an up down rapid vibrating movement. This vibration is then conveyed to 3 rods that smoothly propel the model forward in a sliding type movement. Model features easy assembly using snap on parts and screws and is powered by a Type 130 motor. Direction can be easily altered by changing the direction of the rods. Speed can be adjusted by changing the angle of the rods. Body shape designed to maintain a curved form to move around obstacles. Eyes act as rollers to also help fox to smoothly work around obstacles. Games and races can be easily made by building an obstacle course using cardboard. Best performance on smooth flat surfaces. This is the robot I am thinking about building there are 2 more that I am thinking about building also but I will right about them in my next blog. I think it would be easier to build this robot because it is cheaper and cost less money

First blog, building a Robot
To build my robot I will have to figure out how
what I am going to build it out of and how long it will take to build it.
Then I to make sure I have the right equipment to build it. Building
this robot will be exciting to see how it comes out and to see if it works. I
want my robot to be able to help others as well as help me or at least be able
to move and possibly speak. I want it to clean and help out the economy. i
decided to build a robot because it’s something that I wanted to do since I was
a little kid. Robots are things you can use to entertain little kids and yourself
when you get bored. I hope that Mrs.Balkom and Mr.Flohr could help me
understand the process of building and help me with the process of putting the
robot together the correct way.
